Greetings and welcome to the SISC website.

We’re thrilled to be back up and running and look forward to generating some sports-related items on here each day. Before we get rolling let me offer kudos to webmaster extraordinaire Toby Brooks for his skillful work on this site. Certainly, we’re proud to call it ‘home.’

Now, on to our basketball survey which I believe will be the talk of Southern Illinois before we’re through.
Let me quickly explain how all this is going to work. On our website and in the August magazine we have listed the top 50-plus players from 1950 and readers or visitors to this site can pick their top 10. Then in the September issue we will post the top 50-plus from the 1960s and once again you can vote on 10. This will continue with players from the 1970s in October, the 1980s in November, the 1990s in December and the 2000s in January.
Then in February we will tally up the top 10 from each decade and make up our SISC Elite 60. And then from that list readers can vote on the top 10 all time players in Southern Illinois that will be named just in time for March Madness here in Southern Illinois
It should be loads of fun and we hope to generate some spirited discussion. Be sure and vote on your top 10 players from the 1950s as part of our SISC Elite 60 Basketball.
