Home Sweet Home!
Although a very fun and exciting trip, nothing beats hitting Exit 71 on I-57.
Keegan Bradley defeated Jason Dufner in a 3-hole aggregate playoff to hoist the Wanamaker Trophy Sunday evening at Atlanta Athletic Club. It looked as if Bradley had thrown his chances out the window (or better fitting into the pond on 15) when his chip onto the green was long and went into the water, giving Bradley a triple bogey 6 with only three holes to go. Meanwhile, at that time, Dufner held a five shot lead which quickly disappeared. Dufner bogeyed 3 of his last 4 holes while Bradley made birdies on 16 and 17.
Dufner was never really in the playoff, losing a stroke on the first and second holes of the three hole playoff.
Keegan Bradley becomes the 5th PGA Champion who’s father is a PGA of America Club Professional; and with the trophy comes a check of $1,445,000 (not too bad for a week of golf).
As for me, I logged 52 miles on the course during the four days of the tournament.
